Here’s what we’ve been up to this past month.
Collections List Block
We released our very first custom block for picu. In the past, if you wanted to create a client area, you could use our (now legacy) shortcode to display a list of collections in the frontend. While this worked well in the past to create a basic list of collections, it wasn’t all that user friendly and didn’t really feel at home in a modern block editor world. So we set out to modernize and rebuild this as a real WordPress block that you can configure in the block editor.
This is a free update for everyone. To get the new block, you just need to update to the newest version 3.4.0 of picu. Please get back to us with any feedback or questions you might have, we’d love to hear from you!

Volume Pricing in picu Pro 2.4.0
With the release of picu Pro 2.4.0, we added another way of pricing your images when selling them through picu. The existing pricing models we had, let you set prices either per image or as packages, which works for a lot of cases, but these prices were still static.
The new Volume Pricing option makes this completely dynamic and lets you set prices depending on the amount of images your clients are purchasing. For example:
- Client buys between 1 and 10 images? Price per image = X.
- Client buys between 11 and 20 images? Price per image = Y.
This gives you a very flexible way to give your customers an incentive to buy more and increase your photo sales.
