picu Pro 2.2.0 & picu 3.2.0: PayPal Support is here

A graphic with light text on dark background, stating "Welcome, PayPal" and below "picu Pro now supports PayPal to accept payments. On the right, there's the blue "PP" from PayPal's logo.

We’ve been listening to your feedback, and today we’re thrilled to announce that picu Pro 2.2.0 brings PayPal support to your photo proofing workflow.

More Choice for Your Clients

Your clients have different preferences when it comes to paying for their photos. Some love the simplicity of credit cards through Stripe, others prefer direct bank transfers, and many rely on PayPal for their online purchases. With this update, you can now offer all three options, making it easier than ever for clients to complete their orders.

When clients review their proofs and are ready to purchase, they’ll see PayPal as a payment option alongside your other enabled gateways and can choose which way they prefer to pay.

Flexible Control for Photographers

We know every project is different. That’s why PayPal integration in picu Pro gives you complete control:

  • Easy setup: Connecting your PayPal account by adding your API keys is a matter of minutes
  • Per-gallery control: Choose which payment methods to enable per gallery based on your client’s needs
  • Test before you go live: Use PayPal sandbox accounts to test the entire flow before offering it to clients

We’ve prepared a documentation page to walk you through the setup process, so you’ll be up and running in no time.

Why This Matters

Many of you have requested PayPal support, and understandably so. PayPal is trusted by millions worldwide and often preferred by clients. There’s a reason PayPal has become synonymous with online payments – it’s trusted, it’s familiar, and for many of your clients, it’s simply the easiest way to pay.
