Today we are happy to announce our very first custom block “picu Collections List”. Starting from picu 3.4.0 you will be able to use this block to display a list of collections anywhere on your site where blocks can be added, from pages and posts to templates in the site editor.
So far, to build a client area page you could use our (now legacy) shortcode to display a list of collections in the frontend. This worked well in the past, but setting it up was a bit cumbersome and overall, shortcodes just don’t feel at home anymore in the modern block editor world of 2026.

If you updated to the new version 3.4.0, you will see a new “picu Collections List” block in the inserter. Once added to a page, you can click on the block and configure it using the block settings in the right sidebar.

The block settings let you change sorting and filter the list of collections by email address, address of a currently logged-in user, a fixed list of collection IDs or collection status, and all of these can be combined to get exactly the collections you want.
You find some more details in our documentation about the block.
We hope this will make building a client area for your proofing clients a lot easier and look forward to see what you’re building with it. And please don’t hesitate to contact us and report back with any questions you might have.
