Dare we say: Finally!
It has been a long time coming: Our most anticipated add-on has finally reached version 1.0.0 and we are very happy to release the newest extension to the picu family into the wild today:
The Mark & Comment add-on allows your clients to comment on individual images and to add markers to give you detailed feedback on specific areas of an image.
Commenting on individual images was the most requested features by many of you, so we are very proud and excited to finally deliver.
Switching our payment method
We recently switched our payment method from manual payments to a subscription-based model.
tl;dr
- Licenses stay exactly the same: Updates and support for as long as the license is active, billed in yearly intervals
- Billing/payment for renewals is automatic in the future
- You can still cancel subscriptions if you don’t want to receive updates and support after that period
- After your license has ended, you can still use our add-ons, but won’t receive any further updates or support (nothing changed here)
Basically, this doesn’t change anything in regards to how licenses work, both existing and new ones. You still receive updates and support for our add-ons as long as your license is active and licenses are billed in annual intervals, just as before. The only thing that changed is that instead of manually entering your credit card every year for a renewal payment, the default is auto-renewal.
That being said, it is always possible to cancel a subscription at any time (no questions asked) and your licenses will still work for as long as they are valid. Also we always send out a notification email before any renewal payment occurs, to make sure you are still 100% satisfied before we charge you again.
This switch will hopefully make our business a little more predictable and allows for a more reliable forecast on future revenue, which is very important to make sure we can invest enough time into the future development of picu and therefore bring more value to you in return. Also, it makes the renewal process much easier for the majority of our customers who want to renew yet it is still very easy to cancel for everyone who doesn’t.
Also, before you ask: Yes, we will provide some form of a complete package or “All Access Pass” very very soon! And everyone who bought any license before that will get a good deal. Stay tuned!
